METCON class is a 45 minute class that focuses on the metabolic conditioning aspect of CrossFit (aka "cardio"). These classes will still be instructor-lead with a general and specific warm-up. We will also still use functional movements, but the movements we select we will be less advanced to ensure a high output can be maintained through the workout. These routines are designed to burn a ton of stored energy in a short amount of time.
The main principle behind it is moving from exercise to exercise with minimal rest, while maintaining proper technique. METCON protocols such as: HIIT, Tabata and circuit training, have been proven to be one of the most effective methods for increasing endurance, burning calories and improving overall fitness and strength
Our coaching staff has been trained and certified to work with expecting and postpartum moms. Every exercise movement will be safe and catered towards an expecting mamas needs and concerns.
